About Nugget Falls
Nugget Falls can be scouted from the left bank. The river will split around an island with Nugget Falls occupying the left channel. As you enter the rapid, have a left angle for a small lateral and then keep working your way left. The meat of the falls is on river right, which you are trying to avoid. At lower flows, there is a submerged rock called the Monkey’s Fist, which you can easily get over and shouldn’t disrupt your run, but be ready for a bucking guide launch. Generally speaking, if you slide over the Monkeys Fist, you are in a good spot for the final hit.
