Class IV. Looking downstream at medium/high water boaters will identify a stout wave train on the right. While intimidating, this wave train distracts from the main feature of the rapid; a very large, very sneaky hole center-left that is laying in wait for boaters who try to take the “conservative” line away from the towering waves. You can sneak everything way left, power through the fun waves on the right, or charge right to center between everything. Our very talented friend Ethan had a memorable kayak surf/beat down in this hole during his first high water lap. Without a pre-existing rapid name, Ethan gets the credit here for battling, staying in his boat, and teaching us all a valuable lesson!
