Triplet Falls

This rapid can be a boulder garden. The crux of this Class III is three large boulders (hence the name, triplet) on the final turn. These rocks are located on river right, so keep working left to avoid them. If you are unable to work left of the boulders, you run the risk of running the slot between two of the rocks. This is a nasty spot to be and is called the birth canal.

Video taken at the Triplet rocks, you can clearly see the left line.

Near miss at the birth canal.

Triplet Falls starts at marker 4:27. Clean low water line.

9,000 CFS, high flows. You can see that the birth canal rocks are buried making large hydraulics.
