Wall Creek Rapid

About Wall Creek Rapid

Also known as Porcupine Rapid, Wall Creek is a fun class III wave train. Above the rapid on river left is a huge eddy which is a nice place to do a boat scout, or get your boat spacing squared away as the river picks up speed below this point and is continuous for a while.

As you enter, stick to the right and ride the fun waves. It’s important to not enter left as there are some larger holes over there. As you finish the rapid, be mindful of the wall on river right.

As you finish the rapid the river will enter what is considered one of the prettiest sections of Impassable Canyon as you are at a very straight and long point. Be sure to look up and enjoy the view. I have always called this portion Gunsight Canyon.
