About Parrot Placer Camp

Named for Earl Parrot, a true hermit that lived in Impassable Canyon and near here. This camp is decent and has a sandbar that varies in size. There is a small yet fun rapid located just above this camp, that’s read and run Class II. The term placer means: “A deposit of sand or gravel in the bed of a river or lake, containing particles of valuable minerals.”
