About Marble Right
Marble Right sits on the inside corner of a small Class II rapid. It’s deceiving, as it looks like there’s an eddy here, but there isn’t. This makes landing rafts especially tricky and means this camp is an easy one to miss unless you’re working hard on the oars. Once you’ve landed though, you’ll see the trouble was worth it. A long cobble bar makes for a good kitchen and hangout area. Tents go on the shelf behind the camp. And the groover further up behind the tents. If there are fishermen in the group, carefully kayaking them across the river and then hiking up the Middle Fork trail to Marble Creek on river left is worth the effort. Although one of the finest hot springs on the Middle Fork is just a mile downstream on the same side of the river, the terrain makes it impossible to get to.
