How to run Little Soldier Rapid
The river makes a sharp left turn, and towards the end of this turn is where the rapid picks up speed. If you’re rowing keep working your way left to stay in the center channel. On the right, there are some large rocks that appear as flows drop. These should be avoided. If you are camping at Little Soldier Camp it’s important to be ready to pull back right, as it is at the bottom of this rapid.
This rapid can cause problems for duckies if they get swung to the outside right.
