About Cave Camp

After a Class II-, the river makes a sharp right hand turn into a calm pool. Camp is on the inside of this corner on river right. Look across from camp on river left to see where the name comes from. Also across from the camp and accessible at lower flows, is Hospital Bar hot springs. At higher water, these can get buried by the river. (If you plan on using these springs, paddle across the river, don’t swim.) The camp itself is on the smaller side, with the Forest Service scouting it to fit up to ten people.
