About Cache Bar
Cache Bar is the most common take out for the Middle Fork of the Salmon. Occasionally, some boaters will use the upstream confluence takeout, but that’s pretty rare.
Cache Bar can accommodate four groups at one time on the ramp. Please be courteous and move quickly to get your gear off the ramp. There is plenty of room above the ramp to do last minute gear items so if someone is waiting on you, please consider this option. From Cache Bar, you are still a ways before cell phone service (Salmon, ID) and the closest store with amenities is at North Fork, which is just under two hours away.
Please note that a scat machine, as well as trash service, is not located here. Both are available up the road just before North Fork at this location.
