About Powerhouse Put-In

When the water is up, this is a great put-in to use to add an amazing rapid (Powerhouse) to the Lickety Section and an additional mile. There is some parking along the shoulder and more parking across the street. There is a pit toilet here, across the street. Keep in mind, that because you are starting your trip in Sequoia National Forest, you will need a river permit to use this launch, even though you might be taking out in Riverside Park in Kernville. On weekends this area can get very crowded due to the popularity of “The Curve” swimming hole just upstream.
