About Halfway Group Campground
Halfway Group Campground is one of a few campgrounds in the area that only offer group sites. At this campground there are 5 sites available year round for tent camping only. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, barbecues, fire pits and portable toilets (seasonal). There are no hookups or water available at this campground. There is also very limited shade. The number of guests permitted in each site vary from a 12 person max to a 50 person max.
This campground is only 4.5 miles from Kernville where you can find a grocery store, gas stations, restaurants and rafting outfitters. The Cannell Meadow Trailhead is also only 2.5 miles away. This trail is a hike up the Sierra Nevada Mountains with spectacular views of the Kern River Valley especially Kernville.
