About Brush Creek Rapid
The river splits around a small island with most of the flow taking the left channel. Brush Creek rapid is in this left channel. The creeks confluence, which is the rapids namesake, enters the rapid halfway through on river left.
How to run Brush Creek Rapid
At normal flows, this rapid is straight forward Class III. Enter the top portion of the rapid left and then work your way back center for the second part. As the water drops, then the entrance gets challenging with a difficult and hard-to-see center line with an almost guaranteed pinball effect as you bounce through.
