About Fowler’s Rock
Class III. At normal summer release flows you have two line choices at the entrance of Fowler’s Rock.
Option A: Hug tight to the left side of House Rock, threading the needle between the hole in the middle channel and House Rock itself. This sets you up nicely for a straight shot to make it right of Fowlers Rock and through the runout of the rapid.
Option B: Start on the left side of the river, avoid the hole on the left, then move quickly back to the right to avoid Fowlers rock. At flows reaching 2500 cfs a line to the Left of Fowlers Rock opens up. This will be the line of choice as the flows get higher.
