Silver Staircase

About Silver Staircase

Right around the corner from Sundown Falls is Silver Staircase. Because of the quick lead-in, running tight safety and having clean lines in the previous rapid, Sundown Falls, is very important. Silver Staircase isn’t too hard but you need to remain on your toes as it is very long and having a swim here means you might be in the water for a bit.

How to run Sundown Falls

There’s no set line on running this rapid. Read and run and avoid the big stuff. At high flows, there are boat flipping holes peppered throughout the entire rapid. At lower water, these turn into exposed rocks or large pour-overs.
