About Royal Flush Surf Wave
This is a fun surf wave but the timing is awkward because typically you’ll want to keep heading downstream since you just dealt with portage. If the flows are right though, you have downstream safety, and you have a few minutes, then this is a great wave. Keep in mind that dumps are likely, which might be nice on a hot day.
As you finish the portage rapid, (the very end of Royal Flush technically) you’ll go through a small drop. Catch the eddy on the left and then work your way back upstream and get your nose in the wave. Enjoy.
