Miracle has an interesting history as it was once a small town featuring a hotel, post office, store, and built up hot springs. SoCalRegion.com has a wonderful write up on it located here. The name Hobo has conflicting originations with one source writing it originated from the “rancher’s name for the workmen who lived there, who were accused of stealing sheep and cattle” (Source). And another source just simply calling it from it being a homeless campground (Source).
