Night Zero Camp

Night Zero Camp is located just downstream of the boat ramp on river right. This camp is used the night before your launch date. You will likely be sharing this area with other groups. You have easy walking access to your vehicles as well as the Lee’s Ferry restrooms, so there is no need to set up a groover.

A popular dinner option is to drive to the Marble Canyon Restaurant which is eight minutes away. This will eliminate having to cook and do dishes right after a likely long period of rigging and organizing your gear.

The morning of your launch a Park Ranger will come into your camp to gather you and any other private groups to go over the Grand Canyon rules and regulations and issues permits.

There are plenty of hangout spots at Night Zero Camp, but be prepared to share with other groups as well.

If not done already, a Park Ranger will check your PFDs at First Camp. Make sure they’re all in one pile and ready to go when they arrive.

Don’t forget to take the obligatory Day One group photo.
