Hermit Rapid

How to run Hermit Rapid

Hermit rapid is a straightaway of huge standing waves. At low-medium flows, it is possible to gut the wave train straight down the middle. The fifth wave in Hermit is particularly large, especially as flows exceeding 10,000 CFS. The 9th/10th wave is also particularly munchy above 10,000 CFS. It is possible to move out of the wave train or avoid it altogether going far left or right…. but you don’t want to miss the fun.
