Grapevine Rapid

Left scout. The scout is challenging – pull into a small eddy against a Schist cliff and scramble up the rocks to get a better vantage point of the rapid.

A center-right entrance is standard. There is a hole on the left-side of the tongue at the top, and a rock pile on the right. It is important to stay clear of the rock pile. At lower water, make sure to enter in the tongue as there are shallow rocks around the entrance.  Enter just to the left of the rocks on the right and then work your way back towards the center. There is a hole at the bottom of the rapid on the center-right that can be avoided by passing to the left.
