About Bull Schist Camp

Bull Schist camp is appropriately named. It’s hard to spot unless you’re actively looking for it, so keep your eyes peeled as you get close. The schist vein runs right through the camp. This is a small camp and will work if you’re in a pinch. Alternatively, Schist Camp is a bit downstream and across the street so if there is no one pressing up against you it would be worth sending a scout to look at that option. In my opinion, Schist Camp is better.

One important consideration, especially if it’s late in the day, is that beggars can’t be choosers around this area. Crystal Rapid is just downstream and you’ll likely be scouting it, which will eat up more daylight. Plus you’ve already had an amazing day of whitewater, so maybe save dessert for tomorrow?
