La Marta Refuge

La Marta Refuge is the furthest put-in option for the Rio Gato. When you arrive you’ll need to pay to enter, and they’ll have you complete a waiver form and then lead you through. You’ll want to drive as far as you can, past the camping and you’ll end at a small dirt parking area. From here you should take your time, walk up the trail, cross the bridge and check out the old sugarcane and coffee processing plant.
