About Veil Falls
Veil Falls is on the shortlist for must-make stops on the Middle Fork Salmon. From the water, look for a thriving green bush perched on the river right canyon wall. Pull over and then carefully make your way up the steep ‘trail’ towards the canyon wall. When you arrive, you’ll see that Veil gently cascades into a huge amphitheater below. Stand directly under it or lie down on your back and pick out each drop as it comes down to earth. Coming from a spring, its volume never changes throughout the summer and as it cascades down it’s light enough to be pushed around by a gentle breeze. This is what Impassable Canyon is all about.
