Upper Black Canyon Water Trail is Online

One of the most scenic sections of the Colorado River, is now online.

A trip down along Black Canyon Water Trail is a stunning experience. This section of the Colorado is below the historic Hoover Dam and features hot springs, side canyons, exciting caves, and towering canyon walls.

Our guidebook is for a 23 mile round- trip from Willow Beach put-in to the restricted access sign near the Hoover Dam and back. This section was chosen because it does not require permits to run. The full Black Canyon Water Trail is a 30 mile downstream trip that requires an outfitter for the beginning. Information about the full trail can be found here.

You can find our Upper Black Canyon Water Trail guidebook and map here.
