Oregon Hole Gorge of the Smith River is Online
Oregon Hole Gorge (aka Middle Fork Gorge) of the Smith River is a classic stretch of whitewater. The 2.3 mile class IV+ run descends through dense forest and steep rock walls. The rapids require tight moves and are exciting a wide variety of flows. Many boaters run laps on this stretch or opt to use it as a warm-up for the South Fork of the Smith. You can check out our guidebook for Oregon Hole Gorge, here.
