Middle Fork of the Salmon is online

One of the original eight rivers of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, the Middle Fork offers it all, which explains why it’s one of the most sought after river permits in the United States. Nearly 100 miles of free-flowing river that includes hot springs, amazing fly fishing, plenty of hiking, gorgeous camping, tons of whitewater, and a long season from June through September. With a six day trip being the norm too, most folks can see the entire river without missing much in their ‘regular’ life unlike other trips like the Grand Canyon, which require a much longer time commitment.

Our Middle Fork guidebook is expanding rapidly, but so far we have all major points of interest, all rapids, and all USFS campsites.
